A hand’s on professional with over 30 years experience in full-service mid to upscale Downtown – Airport and Resort Hotels from the U.S., Europe to the Far East.

A Certified Hotel Administrator, (CHA) and a Certified Food & Beverage Executive (CFBE) since 1980, Hagen received a BS equivalent in Hotel and Restaurant Management from the Hanover Hotel & Restaurant School, in Hanover Germany. He performed an internship in Locarno/Ascona and Geneva, Switzerland and on board the “SS Cap Ortogal” – Hamburg Sued Steamship Company, Germany to Brazil and Argentina. Graduate studies in Economic Finance (MBA) at St. John’s University, Queens, New York.

Hagen came from an old established hotel family who owned and managed the famous first and oldest 5-star Health Resort Hotel in the world the “Bade Hotel Fuerstenhof” in Bad Pyrmont, Germany, build in 1777. It was frequented by royalties and celebrities from all Europe. Later it became the Family Voelkers foundation.

In the US he was engaged as a General Manager, Regional Director of Operations, Director of Marketing & Sales and Catering Manager.

His association was with Sheraton, Ramada Renaissance, Marriott, Ramada, Holiday Inn, Choice Hotels (Rodeway, Quality, Comfort), Howard Johnson’s, Best Western as well as independent hotels ranging in size from 120 to over 300+ rooms and conference facilities up to 20,000 square feet.

His responsibilities included: 6 new constructions, pre-openings, grand openings, startups and major renovations, take overs, conversions, reorganization and work-outs.

In EuropeGermany he was contracted to manage 3 full-service sport and business hotels (287 rooms and two large Tennis & Fitness Centers), and in Switzerland a classic upscale resort hotel and lectured at Schiller International University (SIU – Hotel Management School).

In Asia he was contracted to manage the full-service, high-rise international hotels in Dalian and Tianjin, and consulting work on the Yangtze River Cruises in Chongqing, P.R.China.

In South.Korea he was contracted with the famous Green Villa Hotel 5-star resort in Cheju-do.
